Putting the cute in executed.
Things started to turn out of ordinary when one of my co-workers told me she overheard the two talking about our “asses”. This was a bit creepy to me since I’m only 16 and these two men are twice my age. I started feeling uncomfortable.
A little later I had to bring an order out to another customer that was sitting behind the two men. As I walk past them I over hear them say “she’s totally a front”. Then the other asking him “why?” as in why is the “front” side of me more appealing to them then my “backside”.
This made me very uncomfortable and I decided not to walk out into the lobby until they left. The whole situation was annoying and disgusting.
The thing that really pissed me off though was that when I told my mom about the situation all she replied to me was “Welcome to being a woman Holly”
No, when I was born did my vagina come with a handbook saying “Far older men are going to stare at you and make unnecessary comments about your already insecure body, while you are 5 feet away from them”
Woman should not be objected to this. Woman should not have to live with men being unable to keep their dick in their pants.
I have more of a right to talk about men that way because women have been subjected to this misogyny for hundreds of years. I will not tolerate keeping my mouth closed anymore; I don’t care if that goes against being a “lady” or that’s not “ladylike” I have been told my whole life to be quite because my opinion isn’t as valid as a mans.
I am not your object to gawk at; I am not on this earth to please you. I am not a toy, or a dog so don’t whistle at me.
I am a human being.
Just like you. Just like everybody else.
We are all on this earth together just trying to get by, lets not make it more difficult because I have tits.
Even making a joke about men being more superior still brings woman down as a whole. Making a joke about “woman should be in the kitchen” “you’re a woman so you have to make me a sandwich” or those piece of shit shirts that say “Cool story babe now make me a sandwich”
Fuck no. I will not make you a damn sandwich when you haven’t even listened to me. This is sexism at its finest. Once again I am not on this earth to please you. I will not be degraded by a goddamn shirt for pre-pubescent boys.
I have seen many guys wear this shirt because they think it’s funny. They think that because I am a Woman that means that I need to make them a sandwich. Some don’t believe that but they wear it for the irony. Oh the irony. Here’s a good quote from Alissa Quart,
“have we really reached this stage of enlightened irony? We think we’re over sexism yet our ironic expressions of it can only reinforce the basic problem, which is that women are paid less and (degradingly) sexualized against their will far more than men.” – Alissa Quart
And this brings us to the over sexualization of women. I was literally wearing black pants and a black dairy queen t-shirt that was buttoned up, but those men still found a way to over sexualize my body. I am 16, you should not be looking at me that way if you are over the age of 20.
I once was unable to work out with a group of guys because they said the boys would be “distracted” by me being there. Meaning I cannot try and stay healthy because teenage boys are physically unable to keep their eyes off of me. I’m not even doing anything sexual, I am literally doing the most awkward things whilst being sweaty.
THAT’S NOT SEXUAL.
Teach your children to focus on the task at hand instead of easily being distracted because a girl is around.
DO NOT teach your daughters to hold back because a group of boys cannot (once again) keep their dicks in their pants.

In 1967, Kathrine Switzerwas the first woman to enter and complete the Boston Marathon as a numbered entry. She registered under the gender-neutral name of “K.V. Switzer”. After realizing that a woman was running, race organizer Jock Semple went after Switzer shouting, “Get the hell out of my race and give me those numbers.” however, Switzer’s boyfriend and other male runners provided a protective shield during the entire Marathon. These photographs taken of the incident made world headlines.
